    1940's/50's Neighborhood Street Project - 1883 Medal

I made it out for a short hunt today in the cold and misty weather to a newer street project. I have not been hitting this project because there were so many others going and this one is in a newer neighborhood. Now that those are all completed this is about the only one going that I know of in town. I found a 1939 wheat cent, some clad and this beautiful medal right in the bed of the sidewalk slab. It is about 1 1/4 square.
