Storm Sandy Gives up the Gold

Tropical storm Sandy really did a number on my neighborhood. She took 8 houses out into Long Island sound and 1 life from my neighborhood. After a week of recovering and clean up, I decided to head into the waters to see how much things were stirred up.

My fear was that she brought more deep sand into our shores as did Storm Irene. Things were stirred up quite a bit and I did notice alot of areas with more deep sand but, I was able to find some deep cuts in some areas in the water. Sandy tried to take away my neighborhood but she did leave some gold and silver behind, a nice 14k with two beautiful diamonds weighing in at 4 grams and two old sterling spoons and earring. If anyone knows what letters or numbers are on the ring, please let me know.

Hope all are safe. Be careful and Happy water hunting

That is the oddest and coolest looking ring ever! And look at the size of the diamond on top! WOW!

I'm not sure if the initials are MM or WW. Does it say something on the sides? Almost looks like it.

    Incredible find! |)

There is a diamond on the left side as well and they are beatifully cut! There is no other writing other than the two letters on the front. It is also odd that its so small, it won't even fit over my pinky but it weighs 4 grams. It seems to be pretty old.

Re: Storm Sandy Gives up the Gold

That sure is one unique looking ring
I don't have a clue what the design might be? It's kinda weird how it only has one stone on the one side and one on the top.
But it's still a great find!
    Congrats!

It must be a pinky ring, otherwise that stone on the side would be really uncomfortable.
