Has this happened to you while MDing:huh:

I was MDing at an old farm today and the owner's dog (a BIG chocolate Lab) thinks I am playing with him! Every time I bent over to dig a hole he'd come running up and practically knock me over. He kept grabbing my digger and pinpointer thinking they were toys. I had to literally hold him at arm's length with one hand (with his wagging tail beating me in the face) while I tried to dig with the other. He started laying on top of the holes I was digging! I was trying to move this friendly 80 pound dog off my hole so I could recover the target and he was just licking me and wagging his tail! THEN, after I filled in the plug and tamped it back down, he was digging them back up! :white: HH, Dave.

I bring some Milk Bones w/me and it usually calms the nasty ones and you can get the aggravating ones to back off once in a while. Most aren't trained at all now so it's something new to them.....

    That is funny.

I've never had that happen while MDing, but have owned Black Labs. You had a stick, a toy, and were digging holes. What's a poor lab to do?

Next time there, take a tennis ball. They love to retrieve them.
I've traveled a long way, and many of the roads weren't paved.
