My last hunt with the DFX!!

    Time to retire the DFX!!
    Hi guys
I loved using the DFX over the last 10 years ... But it's time for a upgrade..
The last hunt with the DFX I pulled
    A few keepers.

    A 1906 barber and a 1820 LC..
At a vary old home site now a corn field..
I have been known as a whites guy for a long time with the hunts I set up for Dfxonly.. Etc..

But now it have decided to buy a MINELAB.. For my primary hunting detector... I think the CTX 3030 is the best fit for me and hunting needs..
So I just order one today..
I will probably have 101 questions for you guys over the next few months..
And I hope the guys on the other forum understands...
    Thanks for looking..

    Thanks del,
I think I will keep the DFX around for my son...
I have excal II and I have hunting buddy's that have minelabs..
So I will not be completely lost... but I'm sure I will have a lot of questions on the new detector..

Atta boy Don!!! That DFX has been good to you, but it is starting to look a bit like a war relic at this point... Great Choice on the upgrade... I knew I'd get you into a Minelab eventually!

I just picked up a barely used DFX and a couple coils as a backup to my e-trac and certainly hope the e-trac never faulters because as of yet I have been unable to develope any affection for the DFX.

If the chill temp exceeds 32 today I'm heading to the park with the AC sensitivity turned down and tones off to do a little beep and digging with it. I've read you have to walk before you run with the DFX and so far I'd have to say that's true

I know how you feel Don. You know I broke down and picked up my E-Trac. The DFX is a good machine. But I think you like the new MineLab thumbsup01
I kept my DFX too. I still use it from time to time.
It looks like the DFX went out with a bang for ya! <: Two very nice coins! |
