Hi Herbie... That's a great assortment, and great photos! I REALLY the glass finds as well. What was the bomber with the broken wing? Solid like an ornament, or hollow for liquid?

Thanks all, Drew, the item appears a match for this (and similar to other early 19th Century examples) Flute, http://orgs.usd.edu/nmm/Flutes/NewYo...Flute4833.html had I any idea of what it was when recovered, I would have retrieved the entire instrument, I'm pretty sure I recall the site (within 20 feet), but searching thru 400 square feet of pasty mud for the rest of the wood and those ivory rings will be difficult. the break where the first ring would be looks fresh. The final photo (where the color is lighter) is after pentacryl treatment and drying. it is fully preserved for posterity, HH All!

LCoutback, the glass plane is a toy or paperweight,,(maybe ashtray??)
flask is a good thought though.

This album is recoveries of note for the last month or so, visit my website for other neat finds, www.pinetreeshillings.com

I forgot to put the Tudor Button in the folder :hysterical:
It is now at the bottom along with an exact match from UKFD, I have 4 Doublet buttons, this is the first decorative one, They were in style to 1650 or so, but colonists used what they had
