I see that Dave mentioned the ruff day he had as it progressively got worse for him through out the day. I couldn't help but feel bad for him as it ended with another bee assault on Mr. Wise Dave, this probably doesn't seem appropriate but, I just wish that I could get a live video of you one time when your being attacked by those little demons. I would swear that you are being mauled by a pack of wolves as you scream bloody murder at the top of your lungs. Flailing your arms, high stepping like a little girl it is truly an amazing scene. :hysterical: >8)
Anyway, it was indeed a soggy hunt for us at some gorgeous sites. These sites were something to behold and unfortunately someone beat us to the punch as these sites were absolutely hammered. We never let that discourage us however and I was able to squeak out a few keepers including two 1st's for me. a 1876 Seated Quarter and my 1st Fugio Copper. I have found plenty of seated dimes but never a quaker . The Fugio is in very ruff shape but identifiable and nice to finally check one off the bucket list
One other neat find is some sort of brass lid that still operates. Not sure what it is but it resembles something like a salt shaker top
