    Detector advice please

I narrowed my search down to purchasing new or used Minelab xterra 705 or Minelab Safari.
I found A used 2009, Xterra 705 on another site for $425 With a 10.5 DD minelab coil, 6 Inch sniper coil & headphones.
    Minelab safari used $600
would like comments and user reviews on either of the 2 machines or something similar. My interest are in coin & relic hunting.

Here is a question for you which might help - how did you choose those two detectors? (What criteria?)
    Minelab E-Trac/Sun Ray X-1 -- Minelab Sovereign GT/Sun Ray S-1 -- White's v3i/Sun Ray DX-1
Fisher CZ3D -- Tesoro Tiger Shark -- Garrett ACE 250

The Safari is multiple frequency. If a lb more weight and twice the batts doesn't bother you, I'd go with the Safari. My friend says the Safari is an etrac minus the bells and whistles. But, I haven't owned either...PM SafariScott.

I hunt with a group of guys, in the group we have a Safari, 2 At Pros, an At Gold and a F75. The Safari seems to find everything every time we are out. I havent used anything but the F75.
