    Eagle in the hole!

On November 9th Tony two-cent, JKress and myself set out for a day long hunt here in Iowa. It was a beautiful day and silver was being found, but not by me. Nearing the end of the hunt, I got a strong silver reading at 7 inches and thought finally a silver for me. Was I surprised when I dug a beautiful eagle ring and Its HUGE! The inside is marked 925 sterling silver 1940 Mexico. The jewlers initials are in there too. It was a good time hunting with Tony the Illinois legend and Joe the Iowa legend. Thats why they call it treasure hunting! Thanks for reading my post. We just learning to post photos so if the photo isn't here when we post this, we will be adding it later.

What a great ring. Talk about a majestic look. Sometimes just one find makes the whole day's hunt.

There it is! I've been waiting for this beauty to be posted! It was definitely the find of the day!

That is one big honkin' chunk of silver! I think it even seems bigger in person than it appears in the photo. Pretty cool that it had a date in it too.

Congrats on the great find, Ron!

The find of the day for sure!!

Just like we always talk about... "You never know what's in the next hole!"

While I was lucky enough to have the ring overnight, my daughter asked "how come you didn't find one too daddy?". She loved it!

Congratulations on a great find Ron. You are just inches away from another '100 silver coin' year. Hope you make it.

Wow Ron! That's one big chunk of silver!
I know the feeling.... everyone around you has their days silver and hunting nice and relaxed, and here you are silverless.
Then it happens... late in the day or on your way back to your truck IT happens! Boom silver in the hole!
And in your case a BEEFY, kick butt eagle ring!
    Nice!
    Congrats!

Great looking ring. Couldn't agree with Ill Digger more, your buddies all have silver and you don't. Pressure.....pressure, but you held in there and scored. Congrats.
