    My latest coin collection acquisition

    Hey diggers,

I'm probably like most of you and collect a few coins here and there (aside from MDing). Here's a coin I bought. I'm really fascinated by the mid-18th century European Thaler coins. The designs are so beautiful and intricate. Silver and gold were flooding into the European markets and the coins got very large as a result. This coin is a 1756 German States-Bavaria thaler. Madonna and Child. It weighs 28 grams and is 42mm in size! The coin has been cleaned by a previous owner so I got a super good deal on it. Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.
