    Smile Frozen Beach Hunt

Was on the beach nice and early this am at low tide. Was about 17 and the wind was blowing and was glad I had my face mask & hat on.

Managed to find 1 Wheatie, 2 Mem's, the dreaded 65 Quarter and more fishing weights.

    Also found a frozen jellyfish.

Felt good to get out but was glad to be back in the car at noon as temps had warmed up to 31.

    HH!
    Roger

I spend a lot of questionable time, maybe too much, on the frozen beaches myself and what I find amazing is the number of folks willing to brave the bitter cold just to walk the dogs.

Wow Roger You must have been at your cabin fever limit to go out there Even though it was freezing, I bet it still felt good to go out and detect for a bit.

Thanks Guys. Wish I could say the temps were warm with green grass under my feet... but alas looks like Antarctica from these pictures

    Wow! I'm impressed!

As much as I would LOVE to go beach detecting, that might be just a little too cold for me. Congratulations on braving the weather and getting out there.

As much as I would love to go out and swing the coil, that is too cold for my blood. You are a hearty lad Roger.

Thanks Guys! I don't mind the cold as long as I'm dressed for it. Must be my Viking Blood. I HATE the heat, humidity, mosquitoes and bees.

Crap, you all starting to make me feel guilty for going out snorkeling this past Friday. Good on ya for getting out there Rebel. Weather like that, I'd be tempted to scratch that number 5 into a 4 on that quarter. Happy hunting all

HA! I'm curious as to why the 65 still has that silver look seeing the elements at the beach didn't discolor it other than some surface crud.

I don't think it looked silver, just the fact that it it was one year off really ticks you off when finds are scarce

I don't think there was a picture of the quarter, just a mention of it. Sometimes silver ends up being black and encrusted, so I can see why a '65 would still make you look for a date just in case it's tarnished silver.
