Got out today for my first hunt of 2014 in Illinois, temp was around 42, ground was super saturated in some places to the point holes would fill up with water after the hole was dug. Went to the sledding hill to see what I could find, well it still had snow on it The park is also used for soccer, football and baseball so I moved to the areas where there was no snow. First good find was a 1992 clad half dollar, a good start, then a junk rosary cross. After an hour or more of clad, I came across a nice silver signal and
out came a nice 4.5g ring. Rescanned 2 inches over and another 5g ring was dug. Moved over about three feet and got yet another sweet silver sound, this time it was a 6g Creed Sterling silver religious medallion. No old coins but I wasn't counting on that for this location. Its been a long winter and I am glad "spring" is here. Thanks for looking.

Boy I bet it felt good to get out after no being able to hunt for so long. Nice looking rings, and silver on the first hunt is way better than I would expect. Great hunt! Nice eyeballed finds too. You can now start a patch collection too

I think it's grams. But it would be better if it were ounces.
