    New from Kentucky

    Hello everyone,
I am 38 and live in south central Kentucky. I just got my first metal detector (Garrett ACE 350)Thursday. I have practiced in the yard for 2 days trying to get the hang of it. I found mostly newer coins, but pulled out one wheat penny from the yard. My family and I went on our first hunt Saturday. We went to a site where my wife's Great Grandfather built a house. The family thinks the house was built over 100 years ago. The house has been torn down for a while now. We had a great time digging around where the house used to be. I think my wife and kids are hooked as much as I am. I see another purchase in our near future. Here are the pics of our finds that day. Thanks for reading and I hope to be posting more finds from the family.

Welcome from Washington state on the Oregon border. I'm afraid you have all the symptoms of the metal detecting bug, and you've spread it to your family. You're lucky, it's a great hobby to share with family.
