    Run Of Indians!

Saturday was a nice but windy day here in Ohio and we were looking forward to a good day of detecting. Went out and checked some fields but they were not cut and then did a door knock in where we got permission for two old houses and 400 acres of fields. Earlier also got some new field permissions so the day started out good. This is the first hunt with my replacement coil on the CTX, I just got it this week and I think it did fine! First target dug with it was an 1895 Indian Head, less than a foot away the next target a 1903 Indian and just a couple more steps a 1903 Indian popped out of the hole! A few minutes later a nice 1920 Wheatie was the target….and then…I could have packed it up! Meanwhile Doug got a nice 1941-S Merc. And that was basically it except for a nice old Tootsie Toy roadster car. Malachi did get two Wheaties out of one hole and Diane said she got some good practice in digging! All in all we had a good time
