    My First Silver Ring

I was in a cove of the Columbia River in about 6" of water looking for dropped coins when I uncovered a sterling ring in about 4" of muck. The photo is badly lit so it looks much darker than it really is. The bottom of the ring has a crack all the way through so it'll just go in a display case some day.

I've found two other rings there, but they are costume jewelry, so this was a pleasant surprise.

Great find! The crack probably isn't that big a deal. A little silver solder and it'll be good as new.
