Unknown Object found at Cellar Hole

Hi, found this brass object a while ago at one of my top cellars and I haven't yet been successfully able to identify it. If I remember clearly it rang up a mid tone hitting 60s and 70s on my Garrett AT Pro.

If you need any additional information I'd be glad to give it to you.

Interesting. It almost looks like a pen nib, but if so it sure is a big one.

Thanks Tony! I thought it looked like a pen nib when I found it but I wasn't sure..

It does look like a pen nib, a big one though. Could it be some sort of compass edge?

It really does look like a pen nib, doesn't it? Perhaps a 19th century sharpie for labeling crates?

Nice ID Roger :clapping: yes its a fine ramrod guide , probably for a pistol.
