    Two More Big Ones!

Monday here in my part of Ohio was one of the nicest days we have had for a couple of weeks and we planned to get out for a long hunt but Diane woke up not feeling too well but she insisted that I go out anyway. So I went out for a couple of hours I was anxious to get back home to see how she was doing. I went to a field that has been good to us and it continued in this vein. I was able to dig a nice strap buckle, and if anyone has any input on it I would appreciate it since other CW military items have come from this field and I was wondering if this may be as well. Also two more Large Cents turned up. These brought the total to 9 from this field! An 1845 Braided Hair and the 1828 Matron Head are both in decent shape other than the corrosion from the fertilizer.

Congrats on the two Large Cents, Tony! I wish I could help you with the buckle. The two prongs on the chape make me think it's old.

Great finds on the LCs! Suspender buckle design I would guess to be mid to late 1800s.
