Thread: Saturday with Dave and Ray *Knocked one off the Bucket List*

Saturday with Dave and Ray *Knocked one off the Bucket List*

Ray (Kray) made is annual trek up north and probably realized mine and Dave's M.O. for most of our hunts. This was the 4th time Ray hunted with us and has probably learned by now that he should always expect Dave and I to arrive late and be prepared for a long grueling hike He's most likely going to avoid us in the future which is probably a wise decision

First site we searched was a bust as we did not find a cellar hole that we were expecting to be there. The second site we lined up already had two other detectorists hunting there. The two Gary's from this forum had beat us to the punch but it was nice chatting with them regardless.

We finally made it to the 3rd site we had lined up as a back up. Dave and I had been there once before and it was very good to us so we felt it was well worth another go. I am happy we did even though targets were very scarce. I knocked one off the bucket list with my 1st Half Dime(1858 Seated). My only other notable find was a beat up 1875 Injun. Happy Holidays all

Great half dime Todd. Agree with Tony...what detail! Man...looks in VF condition even after 150+ years in Mother Earth. I'll say it again...quality vs. quantity any day IMO.

Wow, nice dime Todd. I believe I heard it from Dan when we all got out but I didn't pay that much attention to it. Like heard it, saw it, but ehh... and now I see you know you guys are fashionably late for hunts. Don'tcha hate it when someone beats you to a place?

When I saw the smile on your face as you waved me over, I knew you must have found something nice. Congrats on the beautiful dime, Todd. Ever find any info on why your IH read the way it did?
Though it's true that I don't find much when I'm with you and Dave, it's still a true honor to dig with a couple of the best guys out there. Your finds are amazing and well-deserved.
