    2014 Finds

    Hi AD!
I had a decent year in 2014. My copper total was 35, not my highest but not shabby.
More than a few times this year I didn't know I had dug something of interest until Dan IDed it. He is a valuable asset to this forum.

Here is what I remember finding this year(and I’m getting old)-

1657 Liard de France (oldest coin ever)
    Two 1694-1701 William the 3rds
1600s to early 1700s Silver Indian Fur Trade Brooch
Two 1787 Fugios (one double strike)
    1777 Spanish CharlesIII 4 Maravidi
    c. 1830 Revenue Cutter Button
1881 Sons of the Union Veterans Medal
    1721 KG1

1860 Ambrotype with clear picture of married couple in tact
    1870 Shield Nickel
    1723 Hibernia
    1828 and 1809 Half Cents
    Vermont Copper
More Dandy buttons than previous 3 yrs combined
    Two compete shoe buckles
The normal amount IHs (some fatties), buffs, mercs, seated dimes, (I don’t remember any barber dimes this year), tokens, medals, LCs, wheats, batwing buckles, etc

    FIRSTS-
    Seated Quarter
    MA State Copper
    Walking Liberty Half
    Kennedy Half
    Colonial ram rod guide
    Musket butt plate

Nice list you have there...I can't even come close to that. You should arrange them in a metal detector pattern and post a wide shot!

I know! I didn't experience this venom when I did this in 2012. I guess times change. Soon I'll be catching flack because I didn't add animated 3-D holograms

Just do what I did Drew. Toss it in a pile and shuffle it around until it looks reasonably presentable. Took 2 minutes.

Congrats on some great finds, that fur trader brooch is too cool (see pic above).

Drew that is one heck of a list of finds for 2014. Congrats! You are obviously hunting some very old and fertile ground down there in CT! I'm imagining your wonderful finds in my mind and they look great!
