Relics from december: Colonial, civil war, and dad snags an 1866 seated half dime!

Had a few productive december hunts, started out down in SC at my colonial spot, got lots of horse tack and rosettes, drilled shank button, large brass buckle ( help with ID?) and dad got a KG II. hen as is tradition went out with Addam From Addams artifacts and did well, My favorite find was an acorn trigger guard off a contintial rev war musket, and dad got a rare 1866 seated half dime. I think its the philly minted one that they made like 10,000 of but it's holed so we'll never know. Name: IMG_0056 copy.jpg

Then I went to my button hole and found a bunch of staff button, a tintype, an 1861 fatty, a wedding band (my dad got the small one) and a few other odds and ends, and my dad got a kepi buckle to close oujt the day. Name: IMG_0049 copy.jpg

Went back to the button hole on the 30th of december, and pulled some more. ( Also a silver thing I can't ID)

Thanks!! The tintype is actually shown laying on top of a non dug example I have to illustrate size (1/9 plate tin) I wish I dug one in that shape! I'll never know what was on it sadly, but I found it at a civil war soldiers orphanage so i'd assume it was a picture of a kid's parent who was lost in the war. Really sobering.

Fantastic set of finds. Don't know which one of your finds would be my favorite. Probably the acorn trigger guard.
