Well, I can't speak about the Jolly Rogers, because I've never own or tried a pair of the Jolly Rogers.
But I do own a pair of the Original Gray Ghost headphones. Without going back looking for a receipt with a date and sale amount.
I think I've had them for 3 1/2 seasons. If I recall I paid just over $100 for them. I like them. They're pretty durable. I did send them back once for some repairs. I'm pretty tough on my stuff. I don't get real rough, but hunting in the woods can be ruff on headphone. Overall I would recommend a pair.
I recently bought a pair of the SunRay Pro Gold headphones. Giving those a try now, so far so good. I think they're about the same price, maybe a little over $100.

I bought a pair of the Whites Prostar headphones cause I had $100 accessory coupon and they do sound good but basically I like my cordless better on my V3i, I mainly got them for my MXT and other detectors in case I ever decided to use them.

I wasn't going to respond because of the $100 budget limit in your original post.

I have two sets of custom-built Killer Bee Ultmas that John Smith (that's really his name), the owner of KB, put together for me. I do a lot of purely audio hunting. The leather ear cups and the audio limit switch really enhance my comfort when listening for deep whispers with my old MXT and my Gold Bug.

OK, I still use a pair of $28.00 Garrett head Phones. I've never tried a better one.
Do the Grey Ghosts make that much of a difference in the tones?
Maybe I should get a set!!
