    2nd Hunt of 2015 / Another Buff & a Silver Washington

Alec and I met up with Zrickkid for a Sunday Morning hunt. It rained on and off all the way there.
We were only able to hunt about an hour and a half because the rain turned to wet snow.
I was able to dig 1 wheat and a 1936 Buffalo. Alec dug a 1936 Washington Quarter.

We were hunting along some R.R. tracks which might explain why the quarter came out all grey and dull.
This was discussed on another post as well, I believe it's due to the soot from the old locomotives.

Nice job Don. If the wheatie were also a '36 then you'd have a trifecta!

Congrats on the early season silver quarter and the sharp Buffalo as well!

That Washington might clean up better with some baking soda. Worth a try, at least.

It's amazing the places where we find shotgun shells, like public school grounds and parks. I guess a lot of these places were once just woods.

Maybe it's just me, but I have a fondness for Buffalo nickels. I guess it goes back to childhood when we made such a big deal of getting one in change. Glad you were able to get out and hunt.

Congratulations on your finds especially the Buffalo Nickel. Currently 14 degrees here with several inches of snow so it will still be a while before I can begin my 2015 season.
