Back to SLQ Park - Nine Silver Coins Today

Another beautiful sunny day here in Illinois!

Today I tried three new parks. The first one paid off with 2 silver Rosies and a few wheat cents. The other two parks didn't produce anything of note.

So I went back to "SLQ Park" (for want of a better name) and found 7 more silver coins there today.

    Here are today's finds:

I'm going to have to move out of state. Pretty soon there won't be anything left here in Illinois. .

Seriously, congrats on another great hunt. Nine silvers and a cool token.

I hope you were wearing glove when you scooped out that bottle top.

Nice silver. The 24 merc seems like an uncommon date. seems the SLQ park is a hot spot. Maybe the first new park you will hit again. The last pic looks odd with the teeth section but those 4 tabs on the top and bottom Def say it slid in a track. Possibly similar to an older window sash slide.

SLQ park produced big time Tony. I do like the name.

Gorgeous bunch of coins in the top photo. Love it!. Congratulations.

I found a token similar to the one above. Apparently August W. Maxe was the proprietor of a store in Staunton, IL, and was listed in the 1900 census as a baker and confectioner.

By the way, I found this token about 80 miles away from Staunton, IL.
