    Beginner MDer

I'm looking for an easy to use MDer.
Anyone have any experience with the Bounty Hunter land ranger pro. Do you guys recommend it or Eurotek Pro. Or something comparable $400 range.

I am not familiar with any of those detectors but wanted to inform you that youtube is a great way to learn about individual detectors. You can watch performance reviews and see many detectors in action. Besides price where you plan on detecting is also important in the desicion making process. Good luck and happy hunting

    First off, welcome aboard.

I am in no way a detector know it all, but am currently looking to upgrade from a beginners detector. I looked at the Land Ranger Pro and it certainly has all the desireded features. ( DVI, Pinpoint and such ) Before spending the money, I'd suggest researching depth comparisons on youtube as mentioned below. Not that I think it won't be a deep machine,, I simply don't know. Just making the suggestion that you insure whatever machine you buy will get you decent depth. I can tell you that the Bounty Hunter Platinum was not especially deep in my area/soil. Another machine I was kinda interested in is the Fisher F5. They seem to have a very positive reputation. I hope you have better luck coming to a decision than I am,,, there are just so many options.
    Primary machine= Teknetics T2

Thank you everyone. I have my eyes set on a Delta 4000 with DD coil. Read nothing but great reviews. Loads of you tube videos.
