    1st Draped Bust LC

Went out this morning to the field where I had found the really nice CT copper. Went in Hi-Pro 2.5 freq.

Found the musket ball first then a bunch of junk. I got a nice VDI of 78-81 and out popped this draped bust. Don't think I'll get a date but there is enough of the bust to ID the coin. Gave it a peroxide bath the put some renaissance wax on.

My 1st draped bust LC . My other DB is a 1/2 cent found last year. Another coin for the signature.

By the way I'm still smiling. Thanks for reading and HH

Huge congrats on your first draped bust large cent, Al! THAT'S AWESOME!

It sure looks like there is a strong hint of a date in that last photo. Could it be 1802?

I couldn't even read it here for some reason. Maybe Tony is on his smartphone with the zoom capabilities. Altho I did try to save it and then open it with MS picture viewer and couldnt get a date. Thats a nice find tho. Grats on getting it. Seems that mode be helping you find those coins.

Huge congrats Al. I agree with Tony. I can definitely see the 180-, but would guess 1802 if my eyes don't deceive me.

Lol. I thought there was gonna be a close up to show. Anyway, is this what you and Tony were seeing? I could only make it out from the first pic. The other two obverse I coulnd't see a date or partial date.
