Stopped After Work Today / Silver, 1905 Dog Tag & Crotal Bell

I was driving home from work today. Traffic was heavy so i took a little detour thru a 1960s neighborhood. About two blocks off the main road, I spotted an old farm house. Turns out it was the original farm house in the area. I stopped and got permission and I'm glad i did!
About 15 minutes into the hunt I dug a 1964 Rosie. A half hour later, I get a 1944 Merc. Another half hour and another merc, a 1928.
I also found a real nice 1905 Joliet,Ill Dog tax Tag, a very cool Crotal Bell and 2 wheats.
I only hit about 1/3 of the property and she invited me back. Looking forward to tomorrow.

Very nice and interesting finds! You didn't say anything about the ring or the jar lid. The lad interests me because I found one that looks just like that in a very pale pink color amid the 26 merc and 2 barber dime spill I found a while back on an old farm.
Also love those crotal bells! Hope to find some myself some day. Very nice find again!

Nice finds. And still more yard to cover. Nice bell. I only find pieces of those. Hard to find intact.

Old dog licenses are pretty interesting. Until reading through this site I always figured they started after WWII. And the bell looks in great shape. I am also anxious to see what else you find there.

Wow Don, super spot there! I've yet to find a crotal this year. They don't come easy. That is one early dog tag...and in great shape!

That's an old one. Wish I would find more of them but I am guessing a lot of tags ring up lower then I dig. Nice relic finds and the silver never hurts. I definitely need to get out, I think I have 4 hours out in the last 2 weeks. great hunt. WD
