    Hello from WNY

    Just purchased my 1st metal dtector. Garrett ATP . looking forward to see what i can unearth. Any around this are? Just wondering if there is a bunch of old stuff to be found around here or if i am in a bad part of the country for that?

    Welcome to the forum! I'm on the east side of the NY (Saratoga). I have two brother in laws in the Buffalo area that are quite successful at park hunting. A little research of your area will go a long ways! good luck

    Welcome from western MA. Looking forward to seeing your finds(we love pictures). The ATP is a very good machine, some great finds have been posted here by members who use one.

    thanks guys i went out today with a friend at a new house he just moved into. he dug an 1876 dime 10 feet from me. pretty awesome to see.

    I have heard a lot of good stuff is found out your way. As was mentioned earlier, research does pay off. You should have opportunities for much older items than we have here farther west. GL and HH!
