Fall break in the field- got a few coppers!

College has kept me pretty occupied lately, but yesterday I was able to get for a fall break hunt in the fields near Lebanon PA! The property was from the 1850s, now a dairy farm, but I maganaged to pull a classic head and a draped bust large cent, along with a flat button! Sadly, the coppers are worn out, but oh well! I also dug an 1868 shield nickel the other day up at college, so that was cool! HH everybody!

Nice 5 center. It looks fairly well. As long as you could stand the smell by those cows. Lol. I refer to a nearby town as the cow Shhh capital.

You know.... that first summer I had off school (and still had work but summer hours usually go down despite people taking vacations) seemed to last forever. There was so much time and It would have been so great to have taken advantage of it. And those breaks and days off like Columbus day which I don't get at work.... Too bad grad school, which I only did 6 credits for but will get back to it sometime soon, doesn't help anything. I still have the 40 hr work week. ugh.

Great job Luke! A copper is a copper in my book so congrats. Definitely the time of year to hit the plowed fields. Shield nickel is in good shape and your best find IMO. Keep it up.
