Dateless DB and odds and ends

I got out Sunday morning for a few hours. Temps in low 30's but it felt nice hiking to the site. Deer ticks seemed to enjoy the chilly weather too Hit a familiar site and managed a few finds.

    Very toasted Draped Bust LC.

Finds included a smashed small crotal bell, some hardware, bird band, wheatie (1918).

Hike out was nice. Temps in 40's, sunny sky and fall colors in the trees.
Oldest find: 5,000 year old copper spearhead
Oldest coin: 1699 William III halfpenny
Purdiest coin: 1832 Capped Bust quarter
Coolest find: USA button with blue threads still on shank

Lots of good targets at that site. I am not a fan of those hinges, they bring out some salty utterances

Nice finds and yes, the cooler weather is certainly excellent to detect in. Is the blue item a bird band? If so you should be able to look up the species and tag date online.

Nice score on the DB, Jeff. idk.. I like it warmer out to hike and hunt. The summer there was long hikes in the 90 degree weather wearing long pants. But, I do have the attire to hunt in the cold. Less the hat NOW of course. Working on rectifying that.
