1st Colonial LC Of The Season!

Got out with Frank yesterday to raid a spot of mine that I haven't been to since last fall/winter. Best hunt for the year!

1st target of the day was the St. Louis Bookmark! After that I took a stroll down coin ally and pulled 1 IH & 3 Wheaties. Coin ally is probably a 10 x 30 lane that has produced time after time for me.

I moved out of the ally and over to the front door area an pulled my 1st Colonial LC of the season a 1739 KG II. Felt good to break back into the 1700's again, since last year. Also in the same area I pulled this blue & gold patterned ring top (a little larger than a nickel).

We then moved on to another site down the road and I was able to pull the round thingy a musket ball as well as the spoon bowel.

Nothing more was to be found here so we moved on further down the road to another site & was able to dig the Buffalo as well as my 1st silver of the season, a 1920 Merc.

The other finds (Lock cover, 2 musket balls, a toasty IH as well as my 1st ring of the season).

    HH,
    Roger

Great finds Roger! I also noticed the die break on the KG. All your finds are very nice and cover a wide range of dates. The St. Louis bookmark looks like it may be from the 1903 World's Fair. I've seen that style of writing on other 1903 WF memorabilia. Best wishes and HH, Dave.

Nice score on the KG2. That ring top is nice. I didn't realize it was patterned at first. The last piece is quite interesting too. Says Colebrookdale Iron Co? Wow. You can date the piece between 1720 and 1785, prob closer to the former date. That is an early iron trivet.
