    Talking Two New Rings

This is the same place I found the toasted silvers and indan at. I got my first silver ring probably a week ago, and yesterday I came back there and got my first gold ring.. 10K!! It came out of the ground so dull and ugly, I figured it wasnt going to be anything good. Got the padlock there as well.

Hey nice rings! The top one is really pretty...the stone looks nice. You should go get it checked to find out what kind of stone it is. The stone in the gold ring might be a good one too.
Detectors I use: Minelab Equinox 900 & Manticore
    Favorite finds I have made:
    1,000+ silver coins
92pcs of 1700's Trade Era Silver
    Copper Culture Indian Artifacts
125+ War of 1812 Era buttons and relics
    My wife
(probably should have started with that one)

Nice. Luckily gold cleans up well. Hope you get lucky on the first ring, but I do see a lot of sterling rings have CZ in them.
There were only three lock makers with an 'S'. And the only antique ones having just the 'S' alone on their padlocks was Slaymaker. Now you can date it, but it is later than 40's and has to be before the 80's as they closed production in the 80's.

Excellent finds! The lock is in great shape as well. I'd keep returning to that site until it gives up no more.
