    Aiplane Pin Thingee,,,

Found where an early 1900's home used to sit. About 50 ft. from where I recently found the Indian Wars era General Service button. I'm thinking Wright Brothers flight related, but am having no luck finding anything on it. Perhaps if I could figure out what it attached to, I could narrow it down from there. It's not a button, it's not a brooch, I can't find any military medals or ribbons with this type of attachment,,,,, clearly it's a brass ?????????

It does bare a resemblance to the Wright Brother's "Kitty Hawk"

It is without a doubt a Wright Flyer (later model). The pin doesn't look like it was intended to last very long so maybe it was a souvenir if you went and saw one fly at the county fair or something? I am searching the internet trying to find out more info or maybe one like it. A great find and awesome piece of Americana and aviation history! HH, Dave.

Thanks Daddy Digger. On another site last night it was also offer that it would be a souvenir from the Wright Brothers tour. I think I'm willing to accept that.
