    A nice hunt before hibernation...

I went down to Ohio on Saturday to do a little deer hunting. Of course I brought my Etrac thinking that during the middle of the day I would hit an old honey hole. With the temps in the upper 40's it was very comfortable for early January.

I decided to dig any deep repeatable signal. I found a fair amount of trash but I did end up with 3 old coins and a relic...1910 V nik, 1920 Wheatie, a 1939 Merc and a gold plated cuff link.

Best January I have ever had detecting...but I think I will be shut down for awhile with the winter settling in.

    Keep warm!

You probably missed your chance at a record buck because you were detecting. Seriously, nice finds. The V is in nice shape for being dug.

Nice little haul for January. Winter set in right around the New Year up here so I'm definitely done until April or so. Agree with 10X on that V-Nickel. You don't find too many dug ones looking as good as that.
