I detected a school yard this morning, for about an hour, than the snow started falling. The soil there was soaking, mucky, clay mess
. I managed to find $2.32 a buckle than came the ring. At first I thought it to be a cheap pinky ring, but after I got home and cleaned it, I saw the 12k.

Nice finds and good that you got out in January! I agree that 12K is a gold stamp. If it were silver it would read "sterling" or have a numerical stamp such as ".925". Question is how it rings up. Is it on the low end of the scale such as a nickel or pull tab? If so, it's gold. Congrats!
