Sunday Hunts, First Half Dollar of 2016

I met up with Hiluxyota and a couple of other friends at a Chicago park this morning. It was cold, windy and I Couldn't find a silver if you paid me. I decided to call it a day a little after noon. On the way home I got a call from another friend who said he got a permission at an 1887 house and wanted to know if I wanted to meet him to hunt it. DUH, Whats the address??

It wasn't a big yard, but it was big enough for me to dig a 1944 Walking Liberty Half.
My buddy Tim (Noah) dug an 1862 Mexican 4 reale ( I think that's what it is) I'll post a photo. If i'm wrong, please let me know.
After that house, I officially called it a day and headed home.

Actually it's an 8 Real. Never expected to find that!

Rang up as a 12-42 on the E Trac but had a silver type of tone to it at 6 inches, as well as it sounded like a larger target. Glad I didn't leave it there thinking it was only a penny!

Way to go Don. Those Walkers are among the most beautiful U.S. coins imo.

Good eye Tony I juat couldn't make it out clearly and with what Don said (about the size of a quarter ) definitely would make it a 2 real.
