Morning dig & still can't find a silver coin to save my ...

    Hi all,
Was able to get out for a couple hours to the local high school which dates back to the 50s. I have been working this area for some time and really haven't found squat-even clad is few and far between except for areas where it seems people tossed hands full of zincolns in the grass.
This morning started out much the same, just working a different area. Everything at 4 inches or less, almost all pennies. Later I decided to try by the sports field and track. This area started much the same-lots of pennies slong the sidewalk until I got a nice high tone i thought was another surface quarter. Of all things, turned out to be a sterling ring!
After more of the pennies I moved inside the fence and started hunting along the fence towards the bleachers. Surprisingly little top clad, but I did get a signal at 7 inches. Lucky day, first wheatie at this site! So concentrating at this depth I found several more coins including 1 more wheatie, but no silver. So close though-1967 quarter, 2 dimes at 1967 and 2 more 1965. Grrr...
Total of $3.12 in clad, 2 wheaties, 1 silver ring, and a couple junk hot wheels cars.

Had one of those days myself today except you did much better with the clad count and silver ring. I did manage a couple of unique relics I'm researching. keep at it. Wisconsin Digger

Have a couple places lined up that I hope will produce something. One is planned for next Saturday at an 1839 church site which has been detected before. But hoping that the CTX can find a lot of missed coins and relics. I also noticed a couple farm areas that have houses that appear to be early to mid 1800s that I would try door knocking at. Hopefully I can get some permissions!

Good luck at that church site. Nobody finds everything. I hope they left you a couple of seated coins.
good luck with the farm houses as well. I'll be looking forward to next weeks post.
