Seated Quarter and some other finds

Here are some recent spring digs. I've only found one silver coin so far this year, but it was an 1876 (s) Seated Quarter....only my second ever. It had a crusty friend in the hole...an 1883 V nickle. Managed a couple of nasty coppers...the one on the left is a Draped Bust and the right is another unknown LC of some sort. Was happy to find a very early buckle and a sterling silver spoon (hallmark puts it late 1800's to early 1900's) monogrammed with my last name initial on it! Good hunt. I found a lead horse just like that last year. 37 degrees with a snow squall whipping through right now so no detecting today.

Fantastic bunch of finds I really like it when I find a nice silver flatware, it don't come around in these parts that often and when it does it's really a treat.

That buckle is very nice. It's called a Vesica buckle and dates from 1550-1650.

Nice old buckle and Seated. Really, tho? Can't tell the LC on the right is also a DB? Definitely with the way the wreath is its a DB. Having the one cent in the middle limited it to only three possibilities (considering the whole classic head/Matron series as one type).

I got the seated at the very top of a big sledding hill in a public park. Info on the park says there was an old home site at the top that is now long gone. So, "field" I guess....but a steep one. In multiple trips there I have found only three silvers on that hill....and they were all quarters. SLQ, Barber and then recently Seated.

great finds I love the "spectacle buckle" its an oldie like Isaac mentioned . I wish i found a few more silver monogrammed spoons too !! Congrats
