Finally got out for a hunt...

Life has been getting in the way of my detecting lately, but I finally got out this past Saturday at a few permissions that my brother got for me. These finds came from a farm field and a private yard in town. No spectacular finds, but it was good to get out.

Nothing too exciting in the coin department: 1903 Indian Head, dateless Buffalo and some wheaties.

Louis L. Emmerson ran for Secretary of State in Illinois in 1916. Here is one of his campaign tokens from that year. He was elected Governor of Illinois in 1928.

Good to see you got out, Tony. It's been a while since you had a vid on YouTube... I like the token. I'd agree thinking the eagle piece is broken, but it looks intentionally broken to be symmetrical like that. I was thinking it would look like a badge of some sort with the eagle on the top, but I see it in size comparison to the token and maybe it's a pin?

I agree with Jim , looks like the eagle was off a badge of some kind .

Yep, the eagle is from a toy "Junior Police" badge.
