Great snag Drew! I think that's the second DB coin to be posted on the forum that looks like a salt-shaker in the making. Can't remember who posted the other one. That park is a great place this time of year as the cellar holes are nearly all overgrown.

Thanks guys....I wonder about the holes too. John, a few years ago I found one that had holes, only they were drilled all the way through. I guessed that it might have been made into a potato masher or something. I hope someone has a clue as to what this coin was used for.

One thing I noticed right away is that the holes are countersunk and the holes around the edges are mushroomed out. So obviously it was fastened down to something tight enough to distort the metal. For what purpose, I couldn't imagine.
