    August 22 Finds

It was perfect hunting weather yesterday evening. I hunted a small sports field that is seldom used. When ever I am there I most often do not see anyone else about which makes it a great place to bring my dog along for the adventure. This area was a farm from 1840 to 1910 (give or take a couple years). I never find much in this location but what I do find is always interesting.

I soaked the token, Rosary Pendent and decorative button/pin in vinegar overnight. They were pretty crusty and I could not read the token prior to the soak.

I know a lot of oil brands, but that's a new one to me! Did some checking and found they were out of Warren Pa. The refinery was run by Harry R. Lewis 1924-29 when it was bought out be Harry Sinclair. ( sound familiar now?)
I don't know how long the brand name was kept, but the token is from the '30s

Silver is always nice but I sort of like the off the beaten path finds that you have made. Good luck on your next outing me bouy!
