Maybe now we can firm up some plans to meet up for some detecting.
I imagine it'll have to be spring now, but that's ok.

I was the only one at Colt Park today with the rain, it was quite peaceful. I'll post my finds..

Ugh.. If you use a photo editing program, resize the pics to like 600 pixels wide or so..
that would equal about a 6 inch print size... roughly.
Is it 260k per pic or per post?
Even 400 pixels would be decent....

You should be able to use photos up to a resolution of 800 pixels and they should still be within the 260k limit. It depends on the software being used to create the jpg files.

I'll see about bumping it up to 300k though.

    Re: Hiya!

I use Photoshop which allows you to adjust the compression for the pics. So even a decent 800x600 picture can get under 200 kb easily.

Personally I'd love to post 1024x768 pics, but I understand there are limits to the amount of space a forum can have.

Photoshop is great. I lost my copy but am getting a newer, updated version in a couple weeks I think. I use Paint Shop Pro as well... similar to Photoshop.

I'm trying determine how much space I may ultimately need, though I do have plenty now. Currently each image file can be up to 300K (I just upped the limit).

Oh, I also noticed you can't see pictures unless you're logged in. Is this by design?

Yes, it is by design, though they should be able to view photos that are hosted elsewhere and added here as part of the posts.
