    My Nephew and I got back to our favorite permission today and had a GREAT day!

    I got a Merc dime, 1917 Buff, 12 Wheats and my first Franklin half dollar. I also got my third tent rope tightener and plenty of clad!

    Very nice bunch of silvers! Congrats on the Franklin half. I haven't seen an old Ceylon coin since my early coin collecting days in the 70s. Well done!

    Terrific finds! I've been detecting on and off for 40+ years and I still haven't found a Franklin half!

    That Ceylon 2 cent piece is really cool too!

    Excellent hunt! Congrats on the big silver and everything else. I like that hatchet head to.

    Nice find with that franklin and the rest of the silvers. It was a tad hard to pinpoint where that coin was from. Looks a lot like a coin from the Bahamas I have, but I think it was the Bombay mint making it from India.
    Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.

    My Nephew said that coin is from Sri Lanka???? It make you wonder how coins end up where they do!
