    Ring find!

I got out to a different beach this morning that's seldom used any more, but used to be the main beach in the 1800s to early 1900s. I had hopes that I might find some silver, or even gold. I wasn't there 5 minutes when I got a deep bouncy 12-12 to 12-20. About 10 inches down, and fighting the surf filling the hole I finally dug out ...a crusty square nail! Well, I rechecked the hole and then had another beep on the pinpointer. Couple more shovels full got it out. A but of looking and I see round gold color! It's a smallish thin band and a bit a branded from the sand and waves, but it looks very much like gold. No stamp unfortunately, but also no sign of tarnishing it air tests at 12-17. Darker color, so maybe 18K? Have to get it tested sometime to verify, but I'm happy!
It was about all other than lots of crusty zincolns, a key tag, and another I win/you lose token that's also crusty.

Looks like the real deal to me Chris! 👌
    Congrats! 😆
It's got that darker gold color to it. Almost copper colored. I'd guess it to be a higher karat gold. Like 14k or 18k. Let's us know what ya find out!

Really!? Not gold? Then it has to be brass or copper and if so then it would be tarnished AND come in higher on the CTX. Man that stinks!
