    Cold 1800's Silver!

With a forcasted high temp of 24 degrees today we were headed out to the spot where I found my Kentucky rifle trigger guard a few weeks ago. On the way to river I when up this hill...

Once I got up there I dug up a small iron carriage bolt that came in falsing like a quarter. Two steps a after backfilling that hole I got another quarter / half dollar signal showing about 6 inches deep! After cutting through about 3 inches of frost and roots I checked the whole with the Sunray probe and got a solid 03-46! So took out another scoop of dirt and stuck the pinpointer down in the chunk of dirt and seen this....

Flipped it over and seen this!

Second silver of the year! And it's a 1800's half! Wow!

Thanks for lookin & HH everyone!!

This is my best hilltop score so far! They always look so inviting, but don't always pan out like this one did.
    Thank Jeff!
