I just came in from snow detail. We got about 14" of wet on the bottom light on the top snow. I just finished the driveway and had put the snow blower away when a plow came by and dumped a wall of heavy snow across the driveway. Had to get the snow blower out again and get rid of it before it turned into a solid block of ice.

I'm gonna ship this stuff to you, Tony. I thought someone on FB was losing it saying the bugs were already out in Chicago... Guess it might hold water.
Future goals: Capped bust coin, Flowing hair LC, Classic head LC, VT copper, MA copper, Pistareen, Two-cent pc, SLQ, GW inaugural button, Excelsior button, Civil war token, and a gold ring.

Not only are the bugs out, but I saw a snake while detecting a couple of weeks ago.

You ain't making the A.R.N.E. hunt, but you will be out?
I'm debating to take half day or such on Fri, def going to the hunt on Sat, and going out to some cellars on Sunday.

Idk... lol. just figured it'd be good to see you as part of the group. Yeah, Sunday it seems Martin had found one of my spots. So I guess four of us are getting there as he was gonna invite Matt D. Hoping for some luck this weekend.

Sorry Jim , I have a "thing" about large groups . That "thing" is I feel very uncomfortable in large crowds of people , I would probably go if I wasn't participating and sitting off to the side just observing but what would be the point then ?

There might be something vaguely familiar. You might have told me something of the sort a long time ago, but I'm not a woman whom can remember word for word what you said 5yr ago and use it against you in an argument. My 'best' friend is kinda like you. I only get to see all these people once in a while, which is why I go. The woods is a different thing. Those are genuine finds and its quite and relaxing. And I get why you wouldn't want too many around. I just get that most of the year.

Well here in Enfield we got about 2 more inches the other day but its been brutally cold and windy (mostly because of the wind) the last couple of days so it hasn't really melted much and now the forecast for Tuesday is a nor'easter with more snow !

We got 8 inches here in southeast MA in that last storm. Like you say Dan, still snow on the ground due to very cold temps and it's extra nasty out there with the wind. With the big storm heading our way Tuesday, I was tempted to try and get out today. Maybe find a sheltered spot with only a few inches of snow on the ground.
