Found my first makeup compact, 1928 MaxFactors

First makeup compact ever. I dented it with my spade sadly but it is still a great find for me!
This one is the same but mine says DARK not LIGHT

Nice find SD! I find a lot of those, but I don't think I've ever had such an easy one to ID. Around that time there were a lot of makeup producers including local druggists. Unlike today, there was little to no regulation on health and beauty products, so often very little documentation to find except maybe the occasional advertisement. But I've found there are actually collectors of these tins who sometimes have info on the odd ones.

Very nice find. Likely earlier half of the 20th century (20s/30s) and as Digger_O'Dell states can be collectible if in good condition. Congrats.

Congrats on your first compact , there is usually old silver hiding about when you find these !

Grats on a first compact. I've pulled only a handful and they weren't easily identifiable. I still have no idea about the Coney Island one. No matches on any Google site, and the pic depicted is not of any carnival rides. It is only a rolling landscape.
