Short hunt, but got a few nice finds!

    Hi all,
Got out after work for only about 45 minutes to a site that used to be the main beach a long time ago. It's been filled to street level since, but still has a little strip that's searchable. I pounded it hard last fall with the CTX and got a very old .8g 10k band from there.
This time I decided to try it again, but with the TDI. I was only after low conductors this time due to limited time. Got a few surprising finds though! I managed a plated junker ring with stones, what looks like an old penny, a nickel, and the find of the morning-a very nice Mexican sterling bracelet! Not sure why it rang up as a low conductor other than its so thin.

Nice bracelet. I think it's been over 10yr now that Mexican silver has been marked 950, not 925. Prob the clasp was the thing closest to the surface that the machine was reading. Remember that machines see each piece separately. Interesting how the nickel is the green one and the penny is turned black.

Did some research on the bracelet. The links alternate the 2 sides of a St. Benedict medal. Only found one other example on the Web. Apparently it's a hand made craft item that sells for $69 on Etsy.

Saw this on the banner but never noticed the post. Great find Chris. I am not as learned on the workings of most detectors and am certainly confused at times with what comes out of the ground on some signals. Great find. WD

Nice finds , sometimes silver rings in low. Yesterday I had the chance to finally get in the river , didn't get much but did manage a thin 100 year old silver ring that rang up like a fishing weight. 12/30-31..
