Thread: New HF Coil

    New HF Coil

Just got my 9" round HF coil, got it together and charged. BTW, I have seen others say that the charger clip does not fit the coil but I had no problem with getting the charger clip on.

I have a gold "picker" test card with an apx. 1/10 gram gold piece on it. At 55 Hz,95 sens, and unmodified goldfield program, the coil will hit the gold at 10" in an air test. My soil is not at all mineralized. Other stock programs do not do quite as well

Thought you might like to know.

Keep us posted Joe. I'm interested in how the coil performs in the field.

I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on the new HF coil. Good luck with it.

As for my experience....limited so far......but I'm impressed with how snappy (quick) it is.

The coil's performance on those low conductors was impressive. I asked Gary if we could expect the same increase in performance on the higher conducting targets. He said likely no, but he will do a test and a video.

BTW.....the 9" HF coil matches or slightly exceeds the GMT on an air test with the same gold picker test card, and the GMT was fully cranked up.
