Thread: Program Change

    Program Change

I have a program that seems to be working pretty well (after all my vast 11 hours experience with the Deus...HA). I am thinking of changing the tones from full to four tone giving an actual three tones using the fourth tone as follows:
    1. iron tone from 0 to 31
    2. mid tone from 32 to 71
    3. high tone from 72 to 98
    4. iron tone for 99 to "close the iron loop"

Anyone see a problem with that?

Joe, I was a Full Tones/O Discrim guy for my first year. Now I use Multitones with a bit of Discrim and don't see changing back. Your tonal arrangement will work fine. I typically run with the following 3 tones:

    0 to 6 = Discrim
    6 to 30 = 120
    30 to 97 = 603
    97 to 99 = 120

You are still going to get a lot of wrap around at 98. You can safely drop it to 97 and have very little concern of missing a big shallow silver.....especially if you turn Normalization off.
