    Headed to Myrtle Beach

In 2 weeks I'm headed to the beach gonna do some beach detecting I know I'm not gonna find old stuff hoping for a nice gold ring but what time of day is the best 2-3 years ago I went and found nothing tried first thing in the morning tired late at night. Anyone have any suggestions?

My suggestion is to start watching beach hunting videos on YouTube. There are some nice ones that explain where to hunt the beach and why. Others a just hood to watch, but if you pay attention you may notice a pattern or two where successful beach diggers go first.
As for time, go at low tide or as it's going out. And don't knock the idea of finding old stuff. The beach has been there a very long time!

Good luck on your trip to Myrtle Beach!! I'm a fresh water hunter so I'm no help but I do know those guys try for low tide and look for cuts/sloughs and exsposed rocks on the beach. I think once you hit a target or two you will know the zone where you should be.

I would suggest going just after the beach goers clear off the sands , if you have a machine that works well in the wet sand then I would suggest around low tide times to maximize more beach to cover .
