    Old No. 6

    Got this last Wednesday with Lee and Tim at the site in the woods. Just got around to really cleaning it up. Crying shame it's damaged.....

    That is a beautiful bell and old too! I'm not 100% sure but Roland Frodigh at Hallowed Ground Restorations could probably restore that for you.

    That's a very nice looking bell, damaged or not. At least it's complete!

    nice find al mate,still cant stop thinking about that powder mill site....omg can you imagine whats buried in the ground at that place ?

    Donnie, thanks for the reply and info. Don't know if the cost of restoration vs value would be in my favor.

    Very nice large crotal Al! She quite a large one as well. Perhaps some gentle bending can get that one side back into place. I've found boiling my bent metal items in water, then holding them in a dish towel while using gentle applied force can get some of those bent parts back into reasonable place.

    d.o.d aloldstuff found the bell at an exploded powder mill which went BOOM !! in 1740 killing the son and his father,remains where never found.
